Schutzhund

Schutzhund Send-Out (Voraus)
The handler with his free heeling dog proceeds 10-15 steps straight ahead. While still in motion, the handler raises his hand and gives the dog the verbal command to go out (voraus). The dog must go out at a fast pace in the indicated direction. At the judge's signal, the dog is given the verbal command to down (platz). The dog must lie down immediately upon command and stay.
Schutzhund Blind Search
Before the search begins, the helper hides in the number six blind. The handler releases the dog with the command to search (Revier or Voran) towards the empty blind and eventually the helper. The dog should run directly to the empty blind and around it with one command. The handler may give a signal to the dog by pointing in the direction of the search. The dog must search all six blinds.
Schutzhund Bark and Hold
When the dog reaches the helper, the dog should immediately and continuously bark. The dog should not bother the helper by gripping or bumping. The handler is to remain at the imaginary centerline.

Tracking Dog Training

Milo demonstrates use of the K-9 BSD-1
on a hard surface training track. Dog is conditioned to
command "such" during on lead tracking and
"find it" off lead. The active remote reward
generates drive to the find.

Search and Rescue

Before the search begins, the handler separately hides the reward and scent article in a pile of debris. The handler
releases the dog with the command to search the debris. When the dog locates the article, the dog continuously barks and the
reward is released.

Agility

Jumps
The handler sets the device at the finish line then commands the dog to jump over a series of hurdles. When the dog has completed the task, the handler remotely activates device to release the reward.
Obedience

Recall
The handler places the device, then walks the dog down the field. The dog is given the verbal command to down (platz) and remains while the handler walks back to the device. The command is given for the dog to come.

Odor Detection

Odor Detection Alert Training Simplified with the Flexibility of the K-9 BSD-2
K-9 Tampa demonstrates the flexibility of foundation training with both different reward types and in different environments.
Detection Dog Alert Training with the K-9 BSD-2 Wall Kit
Training of initial sit on green dogs is simplified by putting dog in a more naturally offered sit position with the use of a wall kit. K-9 Tampa demonstrates on day 2 of her alert training.
Training Passive Alert with K-9 Grim
All containers hold matching components to incude reward item with same visual. Odor is the driving factor to active reward.
Passive Alert training for distractions
K-9 "Grim" demonstrates how the K-9 BSD active reward generates the drive needed to hold alert even under high distraction.
Passive Alert "training handler distractions" when device
is faded
K-9 Grim shows use of verbal release command, trained with
device, keeps the dog locked on alert until he hears the
word "yes".
Training Active Alert "Barking" at the find
K-9 Milo trained to alert on what ever odor presented by handler. Note the rewards left available in area.
Milo demonstrates true odor drive to the find. Simple with proper training protocol & K-9 BSD. Both Grim & Milo video used 4oz.of IMR4064.
